Welcome Naked palette!

Ok, so this is something I have been longing for for quite some time. It's not a new product or anything. This palette has actually been on the marked a few years now I think. So, what am I talking about? Urban Decay's Naked palette!
They have been selling it on Sephora´s website so when they finally opened a store in Stockholm I was thrilled and of course went there as fast as I could...just to find out that they do not sell Urban Decay in Sweden! Whaat! Are you kidding me? So that sucked. I could just have ordered it from the US Sephora website but yes it's complicated and I guess I´m lazy.
And boy am I glad I waited. Because now Kicks is selling Urban Decay. Woohoo!
The first thing I got was the famous eyeshadow primer potion which I´ve really been enjoying. And now, finally, the Naked palette turned up on my doorstep. I placed an order last week and just three days later the nice black box from Kicks came. There are three Naked palettes, this one is the first. All three contains pretty basic colors and this first palette have twelve beautiful colors in brown/bronze shades. Two of the colors are matte, the other ones have a bit of shimmer in them. It goes from a light mocha/pink shade to a darker blue metal shade.
When I placed this order I also threw in a lip gloss from the Alluring aquatica collection by MAC.
Check out the pictures below and the look I put together with the Naked palette. At the end I´ll do a short review on the palette.

I think it's so precious with the water drop images on the lid. I really wish I had more of this collection, mostly because the containers and lids are so nice :-P This is the color Modern Lure.

Products used:
* So for the face I only used Mary Kay stuff.
I started with the foundation primer all over the face. It helps the foundation to set and stay put. This primer has SPF 15 in it.
Instead of a foundation I used the CC-cream in Deep (with SPF 30). I applied it with Kicks professional 203 foundation brush.
To set the CC-cream I used Mary Kay translucent powder with a Sigma F30 brush.
For the cheeks I chose a color with a bit of shimmer, Mary Kay mineral cheek color in Sparkling cider. Applied with a Sigma F40.
* The brows are pretty much the same routine as always. The Benefit speed brow brow gel, helping the brows to stay in shape. Filling them in with the Maybelline eyestudio eyeshadow in smoky black with a small angled brush, like the eyebrow brush from the Beauty Needs brush kit.
* Eyes:
MaxFactor smoky eye effect eyeshadow in Bronze Haze, step 2 as a base all over the lid. Using Mary Kay eye crease brush to even it out.
Taking the color Darkhorse (from the Naked palette) on a Sigma E55 and patting it all over the lid.
Then taking the color Smog on a brush like Kicks professional eyeshadow contour brush and blending it into the crease and taking it upward onto the brow bone.
Under the lower lash line I used that same Darkhorse color on a Makeup store 112 brush.
For highlight under the eyebrow I used the color Virgin, with any type of soft brush. The same color for highlighting the inner corner of the eyelid and the tear duct area with an E30.
With a fluffy brush, like E40, I blended out hard edges on the lid.
For eyeliner I used Laura Kay perfect eyewear eye pen in Dramatic black.

And that was the whole look. I have to admit I don't remember what I used on my lips...so...sorry. I hope you understand it all. It´s kind of hard to explain it in writing.

I have really been enjoying this palette. It´s easy to work with and you can make a variety of natural looks. The palette case is very soft and a sort of velvet material. Nice but I get the feeling it´s going to attract like dust and stuff...not that I have a lot of dust in my makeup drawer but you get what i´m saying...It's definitely a palette I would recommend you to start with if you can't decide what colors to get. You also get a double ended brush with the palette so if you're lost in brush jungle you get one on purchase.

That is all, I hope you enjoyed it. Take care till next time!
